What setting do you think a 1GB HD6770 will run Skyrim at?

i'm running 2x5850's in Crossfire and it runs on ultra easily. However, I don't believe Skyrim supports Crossfire so it's just using one 5850 :)

Is a 5850 similar to 6770 then?

No, a 5850 is quite abit better. Your 6770 is comparable to the recommend requirements, so you should be able to play on high settings, but not at max.

Hmm, I had assumed a 6770 was at least on par with the 5850. My apologies.

It's not actually my 6770, but thx for the info.

If it's any help, the 6770 runs Oblivion smoothly, even with texture mods and all sorts of HD replacers installed, running with AA and AF. Can Skyrim really be that hard to run since it's better optimized?

System requirements lab says it can run high and I don't doubt it wouldn't. It's not a bad card :)

The 6770 is actually a renamed 5770, they are as identical as can be... rather silly of the manufacturer to do that, but it is what it is. ;) It's still a good video card and should play skyrim quite well, esp. at 1680 x 1050 or so.
