is it me or bugs

So I just got skyrim up and running on my PC. After starting a new game it took 20 mins to load the cart scene. While in the cart scene I realized that not only was the game extremely latent but it also had a sort of vertigo effect where the view would rocket in every direction beyond my control. Moving the mouse caused more of this to where it would take a minute to move in the direction I was shifting and then shift twice as far as it should. the sound didn't match with the people talking, my cart suddenly flew away landing in a tree where I was stuck forcing me to redo the extremely long and slow cart scene again. Other games run flawlessly, STALKER (at highest display settings), portal 2, oblivion, you name it they all run flawlessly. my computer is only a year old and all drivers are up to date and the problems persist even though my display setting are at their lowest and the priority of Skyrim is set as high as it goes.

Is it me? do I need new hardware? is it the game? will it be fixed?

Anybody got anything on this?

It's you.

What about my system do you think it is?

I can get new hardware is need be

No idea but it works great for me. Have you tried lowering the setting to see if it works? It recommended medium to me and changed it to high with no problems so far. I might go higher tomorrow considering I have a nice setup and should be able to handle it.

Are you using a gaming mouse? If there are issues with movement, that might have something to do with it. Though, it sounds like there's something else going on as well.

Why don't you post your hardware up here, then we can tell if there's something strange with the hardware or whether it might be something else.

I'm on an HP G60 notebook

Processor: AMD Turion dual core RM-75 2.20 Ghz

3 gigs of RAM

Graphics card: GeForce 8200M G

Tried using both a gaming mouse and a 360 controller

Unfortunately, your system is pretty close to the minimum requirements. There should be a way to boost performance by turning off more settings in the ini file, but it may take a few days before an in-depth tutorial on maximizing performance is posted. Also check to make sure any unnecessary background programs are turned off before starting Skyrim in order to free up more RAM.

Are you running on a laptop? If not, then upgrading your graphics card will see a significant performance boost.
