Cliffracerz
I've started work on a fairly simplistic immersion mod and am having trouble finding tutorials for what I assume are basic concepts. First I'd like to find an explanation of how one goes about setting up a daily routine for an NPC. Second I'm curious about how ownership is defined for objects. In this case specifically beds.If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be much obliged.

You should look for AI packages this guy has a bunch of really useful tutorialsThere's also this dude https://www.youtube.com/user/antstubellI am no expert in CK but you can set ownership by editing item placed in the world. I never used this option before so I don't know how it works.
ClassicalVocalist
Hi Cliffracerz! Setting ownership is pretty easy - double click on an object you have in the render window to bring up the menu for that object, and look for the "Ownership" tab. Then either select an NPC from the drop down menu to set ownership to that NPC, or use the faction drop-down menu to allow anyone of sufficient rank in that faction to use the bed. You can also set ownership of many objects to a single NPC (or faction+level requirement) using the batch action window - select all the objects you want to set, and then press the "-" key (dash/underscore) to open the window. Or go to "view" in the menu bar, and click "Reference Batch Action Window". Select the action you wish to apply to all the objects, and down at the bottom set the NPC as usual. The menu options are rearranged a little bit compared to the regular single-reference options window, but it's all labeled. Once you select the NPC or faction+level you want, click the "Do" button at the very bottom-right. Honestly the batch action window has saved me a ton of time in my own dabbling with the creation kit; it looks a little intimidating at first but is massively useful! I don't know anything about NPC routines yet, but those tutorials michael posted ought to help a lot. Happy modding! :)
