CaptainChaos
So... this has been frustrating since at least Fallout 3. The Developers (understandably) wire the keyboard with ASD movement and the other keys around it. For those of us who like to change the configuration, we really need more "consistency" with keys that do not appear to be assignable. For example, instead of ASD, I use the arrow keys for basic movement. As a result, I rewire the jump to Insert, sprint to Right Shift, reload/sheathe to End, etc. Here's my issue. My left hand never leaves that part of the keyboard if I can help it. You do let me reconfigure those keys and that's great. But then all of the sudden, I need to pick a lock, and ugh that's irritating. I need to use the A/D keys even though it should really be the left and right arrow keys. And you don't let me change the menu keys (I don't think) so I need to press annoying TAB to get out of dialogues, menus, etc. If you are going to give me the option to move certain keys over, the others should really follow - if technologically feasible. I can never figure out if this just keeps slipping by as an idea or if it's just not possible. Also, one other related topic. Please change the instructions to match the other keys. I mean, games have been doing this for years - if Insert is now my Favorites key, please don't tell me it's F on the screen. It's annoying and confusing (when I have been enjoying your game for 12 hours straight :) Those are my suggestions. Thanks for your time. SavageNights
You use the arrow keys? I don't think I have used the arrow keys on games since the middle of the 90s. Old man.
daventry
Im also Left Handed and i feel the same way, go to the Bethsoft Forum, since Developers go there and are Only interested in Mods from this Forum, not what we have to say about the Game. CaptainChaos
@Savage Nights: yes. I love using the arrows for movement and the six keys above it for more specialized stuff. Makes more sense with mouse on right side and less chance of hitting random keys. @Daventry, good idea!
