Help needed with Distant LOD

Hello,

 

I would like to ask for help concerning a problem I have been ecnountering. I am not new to modding, and know a good amount of the GECK, but I have been getting an issue which I cannot seem to solve.

My mod adds an entire new worldspace (a big one, roughly Point Lookout sized) to explore, I've set it up, and generated LOD meshes/textures for it. The Terrain and object meshes display perfectly fine at a distance, but often do not 'fade out' correctly.

 

The problem is, whenever I test the worldspace, and approach for example, a building that is in the distance, the distant mesh will not always fade out, leaving both the high-detail close up model and texture AND the distant one - creating a horrible flickering between low-res and normal res textures. The funny thing is, this doesn't always happen, it's like 80% of time, but sometimes it fades out correctly. This happens with my object LOD and terrain, it's terrible 'realism killer'.

 

If anyone knows a way around this, or what I'm doing wrong, I'd be very thankful for some assistance,
