Zxenop
Hi all I'm trying to get myself into modding for FO4; thinking a power armor would make for a cool project and not too difficult given Azreal_wtf's pretty extensive tutorial, I started looking at ways to work with Blender and the issue I've is that the tutorials I've read always use 3dxMax in their workflow or use obj as a format for importing and exporting. Now I don't like the idea of paying 300€ a month just to do some conversions and obj is format I try to avoid like the plague from the little experience I've with 3d modelling, not to mention that tools available for fo4 all seem to disagree on the orientation and scale of the models. But lo and behold the Blender's plugin for fo3/nv seem to be working just fine ! And early attempts at importing fo4 models I've seen, seem to use NifSkope to remove fo4 nif specifics essentially making it fo3 nif that you can import and export from Blender with ease. Question is this: Is this doable for all type of meshes ? Is it praticable or am I going at it the wrong way ?
