I have an old Office GPU - a ATI Radeon HD3650 (about 4 Years old) - and i can play Skyrim in 1650x1080 with "HIGH" settings at 30FPS

Im sporting an epic Pentium® Dual Core @ 2.50Ghz, 2gb of ram, and Ati Radeon HD 3450 256mb. Dont try to convice me to upgrade, cause I have one of those sloppy Retail Slimline desktops that are barely upgradable (purchased 2008). I doubt I can run it well, even with everything low, not worth it probably.

Im considering a new comp, but im a college student, so idk if a laptop is more importantish or If I should build/order a better desktop. Any opinions would be nice, so I can get a good idea of what to save up for. (currently working, but will take awhile)

Desktop VS Laptop really depends on two things.

How much you move about and the size of your wallet.

I personally went laptop because I had the money to get a very good one, and because I move about a lot and it's just effort to lug a desktop. On top of that, it looks slightly odd having a desktop at University.

Go laptop if it'll help your education as well as your gaming.
