Can't add script to an actor

This is driving me batty.

The script box and buttons are greyed out for an actor record I created. I created it as a copy of another actor, but it doesn't use any templates. It's acting like it's set to use the scripts from a template, except it ISN'T. (And yes, I've already saved, closed, and re-opened this actor. The script box is still greyed out.)

I can't add any scripts to this actor, and I really need to. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Does anyone know what sort of trickery I need to do to make the CK unlock the script box?

2 things or he's inheriting scripts from other form or you just created it.

If it's the first one in the tab Templates uncheck scripts, if it's the second one just press ok and then edit it

No, it's not inheriting scripts from anything else. There is NO template being used, and none of the "use template for __" check boxes are checked.

No, it's not brand new. I've opened and saved it several times.

Another question:

If I copy these borked actors, the script box is no longer greyed out in the copy. Would there be a way to take the copy and give it the same form ID as the original, so that it BECOMES the original, for all intents and purposes? Do form ID's have that effect?

then the Ck is borken

Maybe with a larger screenshot i may be able to help more but if it's not that i've not encountered more errors than those two.

If you change the name of the second one to try to override the first one it won't work you will have to put it again in every script wich is property of and in all the places it should be.
