DrakeTheDragon
Well, keep in mind this topic is "mainly" about making the "existing" race, the dovah, children of Akatosh, playable, as was brought up again and again by most contributors. But it is not "only" about that, of course. There's no need for bashing others for bringing up the hybrid ideas. Point them to the topics specifically catering to that idea, but don't bash them. After all, once the dragons' race got turned into a playable one successfully, we're still left with the issue to make "the game" playable as a dovah.Whether making it so the player can shift into an Istaria-Kuutid(sp?)/Draconian/Anthro-Dragon/YouNameIt-like hybrid race, or going the more-traditional way of enabling dragons to shapeshift into human beings at will any time, there needs to be a way to make them "smaller" for one, so they can fit through doors and into houses, or even dungeons in the first place, and for two to make them acceptable by the public, so noone's running away in panic when the player sticks his head into a town or something. And all proposed ways so far are as viable as any others. The videos you posted aren't really "news" anymore either, though I can imagine there's still a lot of people unaware of the latest developments in this regard, so thanks for bringing it all up again for reference.Though is it just me or do I remember a superior image quality from playing Istaria than your pics show off? Hard to make out the details. It's been a while I last played it, so I don't know anymore though. But please keep it low with the rudeness and offensiveness in your posts. There's no need for attacking anybody just because you disagree with the suggestions brought up. :ermm: Oh, and while they were fitting into dungeons and houses "in Istaria", they still don't fit into them "in Skyrim". There's a magnificent size difference between the structures of both games. Denying this is comparable to stating gravity worked upwards. Last but not least, take a look into the "Path Of The Dovah" project or what's its name, as they regularly pop in when questions about enabling interaction with society and integration into the questlines come up, and made some remarkable progress into that direction already. VorlaHusian
I've been thinking about this idea and have come up with the answer. Firstly, playing as a dragon would be very easy. A while back I managed, through the console, to turn into a dragon. Don't ask me to repeat as I have lost my notes. Secondly, The story line could start you off as humanoid and you have no memory of who or what you are. when you come to the character generator and you choose true dragon, and the type, the reason is that you just know you are different. You choose dragon and type and continue through the tutorial until you get outside. at which point your humanoid side wears off (it is a timed spell) and you transform into the type of dragon you are, gaining all you memories. The type of dragon would dictate the shout power you have. Thirdly, in response to the whole armor/weapons/using doors as there are no hands question, dragons do have hands with working digits. and why would you want to wear armor when you have armored skin. I guess you could have draconic designs of armor if you really wanted to. I personally wouldn't.

BaronBeefBowl
Look. As a feral dragon race that can only be a dragon, you'd be able to do nothing but fly around the open skies of Skyrim. Most of the game would be missed out, since it would remove a real questing, trading and conversation system. Also, as a dragon, speed would be increased and size too, so exploring would seem fairly minimum, so unless someone will mod in more areas (Like Cyrodil and more) this mod would basically be like flying a plane around a city. How long can that fun last, if the city has physical borders you can't pass? This idea is ridiculous, unless you can become a humanoid creature. Due to the fact being a dragon ruins all concept of the game. ALL entrances to anything would be too small too. This mod would be fun, for at most, five hours of gameplay.
