tim44
im not sure if anyone here can help as no has been able to help me yet, but i just recently tried to do a clean install of oblivion, but when i tried to play it it would never make it past the bethesda screen without crashing, also i couldnt uninstall the game either, i fixed the uninstall problem by removing all bethesda related values from the registry but the game still crashes every time, does anyone know how to fix this? LoginToDownload
I find this tends to be caused by mod-troubles. I've suffered it multiple times without really figuring out why, only the offending mods. Sometime's it's the load-order, sometimes it's an outright incompatibility. (Incidentally, Kvatch Aftermath causes this for me. :()
Crisb92
I had this problem recently, almost went at my computer with a hammer, but then I remembered the other folder that could cause it to screw up. I'm sure you know of it, I cannot believe I overlooked it. It is the one in the My Games folder in your My Documents. It contains the ini, and other such things. This was what caused the problem for me, I had to uninstall and delete this to get it working. So this might be your problem. Hope this helps, Cris
