phayze81
Here, here! I about went nuts trying to setup a dual wield combo that would let me alternate easily between dagger/dagger and ward/firebolt. :pinch: It seems obvious that the hotkey should be smart enough to remember which hand I had the damned thing in when I assigned it. I would be in the debt of any clever soul who figures out how to straighten this silliness up.
Scorpidius
I totally agree about making a new hotkeys system. I think it would be great if it would be like this one: Enhanced Hotkeys, so we could make any combinations of weapons and armor which the game would remember. fishforfight
This needs more attention! The problem described by filthster in his first post is a major one for the gaming experience when dual wielding weapons in Skyrim. Please read his description of the problem and his notes at the end in his first post - this is important as it is a combination of problems that is producing the dual wield problem. If there is any genius modders out there. Please hear our combined cries ;)
TheRunner PD
Just ran into this problem myself. Bumping!
mareboro
The inability to save a combination of spells and or weapons on both hands under a single button has been a source of frustration since the beginning for me. Like the OP said, please genius modders and game fixer uppers make this possible.
kudlatytrue
Bump to this. It's a little shame that this gets so little attention form both, the game makers as well as modders. I prefer usefull things over better women makeup.
Leold
+1The vanilla hotkey system is so barebones, it certainly could use some improvement. It's currently really annoying playing a Spellsword or dual-wielder because you need to pause into the favorites menu constantly to get the combination you want quickly. And I agree with Scorpidius too, we could definitely use an Skyrim Enhanced Hotkeys.
Talamis
+1 it really is annoying as hell. I'm seriously considering to switch to 2handed weapons because of this.
WatchTheShow
This has been a problem for me too. If I have two identical swords in my favorites menu, I can only equip one of them. They stack in the favorites menu for whatever reason, then the second sword disappears from the menu as soon as the first one in the stack is selected. So every time I need to use my bow, or magic, I have to open up the menu, go to items, weapons, scroll down to my swords to equip both of them again. Very annoying. Also for the people who couldn't remember what Alt does: Alt = run/sprint. Edited December 25, 2011 by WatchTheShow
antmanfersil
+1 Dual wielding is a pain in the ass in this game because of the hotkey system. Tried one mod that said to solve this issue but it didn't worked for me Edited January 2, 2012 by antmanfersil
