Have a few questions about a mod I've made.

 

1. Is there anyway with the creation kit, to connect a workbench in an interior cell, to one that is in a exterior settlement? I have a small vault I've created and want to link it's workbench to the workbench in Sanctuary.

 

2. Is it possible to allow players to place generators in interior cells with the creation kit? I have power being ran by the fusebox; however, someone ask me about being able to place the generator so they would not have to run wires everywhere.

1. Connect how? If you just mean so that all your resources from Sanctuary are available inside your Vault then you don't even need the Geck for that, all you need do is run a supply line from Sanctuary to the Vault and the two workbenches will be linked.

 

2. Last I checked, at least with the Automatron DLC, you can place generators in interior cells. I'm not sure if there ever was a time you couldn't but I know that you can, so yeah.

1. Yes, you can connect any workbench you've created to an existing workbench even in another cell by adding a Linked Reference at your workbench to the other workbench with the keyword WorkshopLinkContainer. So to link your new workbench to say Sanctuary's workbench, create a new linked reference to SanctuaryWorkshopREF in the cell SanctuaryExt (-20,21) with the keyword=WorkshopLinkContainer. They will now share inventory.

 

2. You can build generators if you designate the workbench as an outdoor workbench (I think!) which is ID c1aeb.

This works good but is it possible to link more than 2 benches together this way? I have linked more than 2 and it only works with the first 2 linked. is there a trick to add a 3rd and 4th bench??
