Harki Posted June 19, 2016 Share Posted June 19, 2016 Hi! I was wondering if anybody knows a way to change the candle flame 'pulse frequency' (¿?). As you can see in the video the candle flames go hyper active in my game and I cannot figure out why or how to do something about it.ELFX and Lanterns Of Skyrim don't seem to be the culprit. To my noobish eyes it seems the animation is being triggered on and off constantly.[Load Order and Active Mods] Any help is greatly appreciated! Darkstyler35 Posted June 19, 2016 Share Posted June 19, 2016 Hello, Looks like if time was accelerated...Try deactivating those mods and test A matter of time / enhanced lights / Grimy utilities. After searching through the haystack enabling/disabling it appears that this candle behavior is triggered anytime I equip a specific weapon - Warglaive of Azzinoth by faxivcm, which has quite a unique glow. The moment I unequip the Glaive the candle flame sprite animation instantly resets back to normal mode. For the sake of trying I did try moving the ESP up in the load order but that has no effect. Understanding what causes this anomaly I can finally return to ploughing the fields of Whiterun, but if I'm still open to ideas and suggestions :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Harki Posted April 27, 2018 Author Share Posted April 27, 2018 hi! it has to be the weapons' fire/glow particle effect that is causing some conflict with the candle animation when equipped. do you use any mods with some special visual effects on items? For me, this happens when I have Realistic Water Two in my full load order (though it's fine in a skeleton load order). I isolated the problem to one file, \meshes\effects\fxwaterfallbodytall.nif. Deleting or overwriting that file fixed the wacky candles (and torches). I chose to let the file be overwritten by "Particle Patch for ENB" (http://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1499). Possible reason why your candles are flickering is Smoking candles and torches mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35819/)It might be not a solution to you but I turned off my SCaT esp.. And flickering gone. Fair price :S moreover separate Smoking torches shouldn't affect your light sources (need to test though, i just found this problem so smoking torches probably break torches and make them flicker whatever.)
