Mansh00ter
For those who don't know, you can assign hotkeys by opening your favorites, selecting an item and pressing a number key while the item is selected. You can then combine/equip the items (if possible) by pressing those keys during gameplay.

You have to open the favorites menu once to set your keys but then you can use them on the fly w/o having to open it. It also works for dual wielding (double click). Patronus
- A block button, so you can block as long as you don't have bare hands/ only magic out. This does remove the single weapon/empty hand bonus, but I think it's neccesary at least for dual wielding swords; the primary reason for an offhand sword is to parry IRL. Shields are still a benefit because of their armor class. Totally agree about the block button. It's just weird that having spell in the left hand prevents me from blocking by the right hand. Oblivion was far more convenient about combing fighting and casting. I love the idea of dual wielding, but how can that prevent you from blocking? Well, from a purely game balancing perspective, being able to dual wield AND block would make dual wielding way too overpowered. Unless, of course, there was some sort of penalty for dual wielding, a la D&D.

Patronus
Well, from a purely game balancing perspective, being able to dual wield AND block would make dual wielding way too overpowered. Unless, of course, there was some sort of penalty for dual wielding, a la D&D.I prefer to value realism more than game balance. At first, like KillerHappyFace said, when you're fighting with one single-handed weapon, you get a bonus for empty hand, and if you have a shield, you gain additional armor bonus, so IMHO that's already ok and balance isn't ruined. It's only logical that having two swords in your hands isn't any worse than having one sword and nothing more.If you still insist that it makes dual wielding overpowered, there's a lot of possibilities: - weaker blocking for dual wielding (like for two-handed weapons);- slower growth of one-handed weapon skill when you have two weapons equipped (I bet it's much easier to learn handling only one sword in your hand)- not being able to use block with dual wielding until reaching some skill proficiency in one-handed weapons (50 would be enough IMHO), it can taken as a perk- dual wielding block not usable with heavy armours

But precisely for that reason, as an offhand weapon is used for parrying, not blocking, it must be less effective at the job than the outright blocking. I am not opposed to dual wield block as such, just think that if it is introduced, it must be made weaker than, say, a 2H block. That said, this game needs a dodge functionality, akin to Deadly Reflex in Oblivion. For NPC's as well, of course.
xDemonJohn
You mustn't of played Fable 3, lol. That had an AWFUL interface, what was Peter thinking!Oh my god. Don't even get me started on Fable 3. That doesn't even count as a UI. It's just a new area. lol
