whats everyone getting for christmas?

i just wanted to know what people are getting this christmas mainly games but also anything (unless you dont know what your getting as it is suposed to be a secret)

 

i have, for a major christmas preasant, got a 60gb ps3. i was lucky to find it as sony have discontinued the 60gb in the uk and i got it off of a uk site for £430 with an extra controller, resistance and ridge racer 7. i ordered it last sunday (a week and a bit ago) and have been waiting for it in the post ever since. ive been checking the site i bought it off of and its no longer there though there are still a few 60gbs left the pack i ordered isn't. its a pretty reliable company so im sure it will arrive as they did say 7-10 or 14 day i cant remember which.

 

i also have got a biography of sorts though i don't know whos as my mum won't tell me, radio 1's live lounge v2 and sigur ros' takk.

 

i have numerous other small praesants but i don't know what they are.

 

 

On christmas day or soon after post what you did get and boast to the rest of the nexus community.

I don't know what I'll be getting, but I did make up a list of what I want:

 

Collector's Item Legos:

#10019 Rebel Blockade Runner

#3450 Statue of Liberty

#6085 Black Monarch Castle

The first one is to further my nerdy Star Wars collection. I already have the huge Star Destroyer, so I might as well add the Rebel Blockade Runner! :biggrin: (Here's a picture of it I just so happen to have if anyone's interested.)

The second one is on the list for two reasons: I'm patriotic, and it's made with a unique colour of lego that is rarely used. I'm not even sure there are any other sets besides this one that uses it.

The last one is on because of a long story I don't feel like getting into right now.

There aren't very many books I want that I don't already have, but, despite having almost every Lovecraft book, I don't have a copy of The Necronomicon. I know, I'm ashamed, but if all goes well, I'll no longer have to say that I don't have it.

 

The last half of my list is a bunch of product for the greatest webcomic ever: Ctrl+Alt+Del

I'm not getting much. We have 'Sinterklaas' here in Holland which is basically an excuse to buy presents for each other in December twice. :rolleyes: So I got most of my presents on the 5th of December and I don't get much at christmas.

Neither do I, but my family does, and Christmas is supposed to be a family holiday (It's been seriously washed out by commercialism). Since my family celebrates Christmas, I get presents, even though I don't believe in it! :teehee: It's so delightfully quirky!

Aside from being atheist I have other reasons for not personally celebrating, but I do try to not interfere with my wife and son. And now with a new baby in the house, this year I've spent more than I seem comfortable with. Oh well, whatever keeps the woman happy, it is very hard to keep a serious face while you are being yelled at in engrish.

I'm not getting anything (I think) - I already got my gifts ahead of time (an Xbox 360 "Holiday Bundle" with Marvel Ultimate Alliance & Forza Motorsport 2, along with Halo 3 and Assassin's Creed). I had a choice between that or a (god-forsaken) PS3 (all the Wii's had either been sold or only were only sold on Fri :blink: ), and since I've made a vow to NEVER buy ANY Sony product (including MP3 players, TVs, and whatever else Sony makes), the Xbox looked pretty good to me (I've been wanting one for some time now anyway :happy: )

 

I celebrate Christmas, but to me it's not about giving or receiving gifts. As long as I'm with my mum, that's the main thing ;)
