bben46
And, sometimes it even works. It took a while to figure that part out. Then, sometimes (not always) I have to double click on the number key to get it to accept a favorite into the hot key. Then, when selecting a hot keyed item, about half the time the previously selected item comes up instead, pressing again then brings up the proper item. Then, to assign mixed weapons/spells to hot keys, you have to open weapons menu, make your selections, make them favorites, close weapons menu, open favorites list, assign selections to hot keys, close favorites list, open spell menu, make your selections, make them favorites, close the magic menu, open the favorites list, assign spells to hot keys, close favorites list. Then be sure to test before you actually need the hot keyed items to be sure they are really there when you need them in a hurry. How could it be any simpler than that? I see what they were trying to do with this. In Oblivion your favorite items would have been scatted throughout the inventory list. They were attempting to have a smaller list of the things you access all of the time separate from your overall inventory so they would be easier to find. It would have been much better to flag items, spells, weapons, armor etc as favorites and then have them displayed at the top of the same inventory list - with a number for those assigned to a hot key. Maybe if they fix the bugs I may eventually get used to this cumbersome system.
