Cait833
my trees won't move on mine either. ati sucks. now nvidia upgrade i want.I think you either need to update your drivers or you have done something you shouldn't have - AMD is not to blame. OLtos
9 months ago I had this fixed by settinguExteriorCellBuffer=0ANDbPreemptivelyUnloadCells=1Many updates late and a new video card, radeon7850 OC 2gig from Gygabyte.and I am sorry to say this fix no longer works. I can get the most wonderful animated tree effects up in Riften you could ever want to see. Even using UGridstoLoad=7. But even when my fps is over 45 the tree animations now choke out and stop after less than two minutes. Only two things work to get the trees moving again. Manually enter PCB in the console, which does not restore full movement but gets a lot of it back, or exit the game entirely. Gentlemen there is a choke point somewhere in here but I'll be dogged if I can find it. My tree animations choke out and die even when my FPS is over 45. Now since the Cell Buffer seems to be the culprit can anyone tell me how to turn it OFF. The above fix used to do this and all was right with the world. Now that tweak no longer works to shut down the cell buffering, which given the state of memory and GPUs these days, hardly seems necessary anymore. Vulon
To be honest, I hardly ever noticed tree animations prior to stumbling across this mod - Windy Skyrim. After having used it for a few hours, the effect is very nice. Trees won't animate if I switch on my ENB, because that sets me right around 30 fps or just slightly below, but with my ENB disabled, the effect is very prominent in most instances. Ellwood
Didn't notice whole trees swaying until reading this thread. So I took a look and it appears certain trees are intended to sway more than others. The tree types out Riften are designed to sway compared to say the pine trees up North which only have branches swaying.
