Fu11M0on
I guess for anyone else with the same problem. I had the problem as well but the look on my face when all i needed to do was unplug and plug back in my headset...I sat half an hour trying every single solution here. Than I tried yours and it worked...

Lordbok
Sorry to necro this but I had the same issue and fixed it so just incase someone is googling and sees thing. I am using Razor megalodon headser with that lil control box thing and I had to turn up my Center speaker with it. if you look in your speaker options you can click all the speakers to see how they sound and I found that my C speaker was low. psycros
Really wish someone would provide a real fix for this - preferably Bethesda by finally getting a QC team. My setup: Windows 10 running Skyrim SE + SKSE64Stereo speakers with stereo configurationNo audio enhancements, volume leveling, etc - Windows sound control panel defaults onlyNo headphones or mic plugged in
NoMasPantelones
I had the same issue. Just so happens closing the game and launching it again fixed it
Encuana
I'm using a Logitech G933 which has been giving me some trouble as of late. I found that touching the power switch actually changed the sound. When I opened it up I saw that the switch actually closes like 8 different gates instead of just one connection to the power supply. Turning the device off, and then pushing the switch with some extra CLICK usually fixes the issues. It's just a bad design of the hardware.
