HiddenRanger
I am loving this game so far. Yah it has a few bugs and I had to lower my sound output to get it to run for some reason but this game is great. I think it is easy for people to forget that even a bugged TES game is still amazing. Anyway something I noticed while playing. I play an archer who sneaks a lot hence the name HiddenRanger. I found that if you are hidden but engage in a fight with your bow and you shoot an arrow behind/left/right of an enemy they will turn towards the noise it makes when it hits the wall or floor and head in that direction! It came in real handy when I took 3 on at once and killed the first and mislead the others so I could stay hidden. It may already be known but just thought I would share. silverbolt00
I am also really liking most of the bow combat, apart from how stupid it is to have to pepper someone with so many arrows it really takes away from the immersion .... at least for me. As far as mods go, i'm hoping there's something along the lines of them doing more damage because whether hit from a stealth shot or while they're running straight at you, an arrow through you're chest is going to hurt if not kill you out right. Apollyna
I was pleasantly surprised but still a little sad when I found out that you aim directly at a target with a bow, instead of above them. Maybe it's just me, but it made me feel a little more skilled sniping enemies from far, far away. Referring to what silverbolt00 said, I also don't like how arrows / bows seem nerfed. :P But I guess that's what levelling and perks are for. PrinceNathan
The archery starts really hard but later on when I was just going through random dungeons I could clear the whole place without ever being detected. The places I can't sneak in like the monster caves that always detect you, I find it very easy to lead them into their own traps :D The change from Oblivion is great because you could only kill one enemy at a time then you would be caught now you have the half-detected state in which you still get the sneak damage. I am having so much fun that even if it gets hard I will persevere even if it means accepting that I have to run away (By stealing a bandits horse) Also the perks are very nice for archery, I won't spoil them for people who don't know yet.... but suffice to say they are great. HiddenRanger
I am glad others are enjoying the archery as well. I agree its a bit nerfed at the beginning. I figure 3 arrows sticking out someones head would kill them  The half hidden state was a great idea. Makes it a lot more fun and realistic. Evilllamas
If u get the bows do 3 times damage perk. and get all the `overdraw` perks.... from stealth u kill allot of basic enemys!love archery too... but wish u got to aim over the heads too.... surley xbox players can cope with this? after all their `360 no scoping` on cod,... Ignoral
You do have to aim above enemies heads, as you get further away. I personally think it's slightly more realistic that you can shoot for quite a distance before having to compensate for arrow drop.
HiddenRanger
I think the arrow flies just a little too far before falling. If they brought it in just a little bit I think it would have been perfect. Im missing a lot of long shots with the arrows flying over my target due to habbit of compensating for distance.
