Disgruntled82
Hey! I recently had a really nice painting mod with some not so safe for work paintings and some of them were just really nice with different power armors and various motives. Probably from Deviant art. I had to make a total clean install and removed all my mods, thought I wrote em all down but alas: I had written "New paintings for settlements" but I cannot find something similar to that except "New paintings for player home", which it is not. I cannot find that mod again. I even checked download history several times but its like it has vanished. I was hoping you guys can help me if I show a saved screenshot from one of the paintings. Take notice that the frame it has and the size of it goes for all of those paintings. Thanks in advance!
Deleted3680043User
Mods seem to have been removed from nexus lately, I'm guessing it is something to do with all this Bethesda.net mod stealing business. I might be wrong but it seems to fit, Resurrection Forest Beta Edition has just vanished and the mod banned from nexus, sad really.
kituk
It was removed because of stolen content https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4575725-zmey92-formal-warning-issued/ https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4579575-zmey92-banned/

WhiskeyRiver2
This is why I always make copies of whatever mods I download (read: copy the .zip or .7z or whatever file onto a 32 gig USB stick). That way in case a mod gets hidden/taken down I can still use it myself.
zanity
Organised console warriors have discovered the main weakness of the Nexus is that the Nexus fails to mostly operate under an inherited open-source type licence for mods published here. It is therefore possible for console warriors to disrupt the Nexus significantly by inspecting each mod published here, looking for breaches of the rules, especially the use of base assets without explicit 'permission'. I would guess that currently 85%+ of existing mods here could be taken out by informing moderators of such a rule infringement. The IRONY is that almost the most popular mod on this FO4 site is a FAKE texture overhaul- that stopped being updated when the moderators dicovered the author was crafting new versions by simply stuffing the loose texture files with exact copies of the Beth originals from the vanilla game. This modder was NOT banned (I guess traffic counts for more), and has been wasting the time and bandwidth of gamers who hope the mod may improve their game. And yes, I know the modder did remove the 'infringing' updates- but the point was that the modder was caught red-handed engaging is serious deceit. Here's the thing. Nexus CANNOT officially tolerate mods that use protected IP without permission. BUT Nexus COULD encourage all mod authors to release their OWN crafted IP under a standard open-source type licence allowing others to use these assets WITHOUT explicit permission so long as their mod inhereted the licence. But at the moment Nexus is stricter over mods 'stealing' IP from other mods than mods that 'steal' IP from outside sources.
