Can't open chests in a certain part of houses.

I got some house mods by Elianora and they seemed to work fine, however I have encountered a glitch where I can't open chests in a certain area in Breezehome TNF by Elianora and Tirashan by Elianora these are the only houses I've tested it on so far. This bug is confusing me as I seem to be the only one having this problem and would like any help possible.

• Open console and try player.tai

• If this doesn't work, disable all your mods and test in game, if it worked, activate the mods slowly untill you find the culprit.

player.tai did not work and i have found out that this bug is also happening in whiterun, there is an area where i simply can't open containers

Disabled all my mods bug still persisted seriously getting frustrated right now

Explain your bug with more details so I can imagine.

• Are the chests locked or you can't unlock them ?
• Does your pointer show a possible inteeraction with the object or nothing like if it was a wall ?
• Have you installed something that masks dynamically your pointer ?
• Have you installed a scripted mod that manages containers ?

Either a mod invalidate the containers you can't open, either you have a script running in your save then deactivating mods doesn't work. Think about the four points above and go into your MCM menu to see if any mod could match the problem.

1. the chests are unlocked and I can't open them

2. yes my cursor shows a possible interaction with the container

3. no

4. I disabled all mods bugs persisted

 

This bug isn't on one container it's on all containers in a certain area and its close to game breaking because it happens everywhere.

I reinstalled my game and the bug still persisted I'm going to try to make a new save and see if this still happens.

 

Edit: created a new save and the bug was gone
