What mod managers should I use?

Wrye Bash is mandatory, you should use it for drag-and-drop load order management, savegame repairs, Bashed Patch and all that. It can also install mods, and some of the most complicated mods might require it, because of the way they are set up and ready to install. If you want to move over to Wrye Bash completely, you can use OBMM to extract all the OMOD archives, and then use Wrye Bash to install the mods. Wrye Bash also has drag-and-drop install order management.

Of course you can use both OBMM and Wrye Bash at the same time, but it might be tedious to keep track of what files come from where, and handling file conflicts (one mod overwriting another) will be a huge headache. I have not used OBMM for years now, except for extracting OMOD files, but from what I remember, it was absolutely horrible. Wrye Bash would be more user-friendly, and I do not think the learning curve is that steep. It just takes some thinking and common sense to get hold of it. If you have Steam version of Oblivion, you will need to reset bsa timestamps with OBMM (or another tool).

I myself use Mod Organizer, but that means manually installing/restructuring most mods so MO can install them, and OBSE plugins need to be manually copied and such. If you are willing to risk life and limb, that might be one option, but only if you know how to install mods manually, and do not mind maybe spending some time trying to figure out why not everything works as intended. It is not for the faint of heart, and because OBSE plugins need to be manually installed, the profile system in MO is not all that useful with Oblivion (I myself only use one profile). MO has the bsa timestamp reset feature, too. But do try Wrye Bash, it is probably easier to set up than MO. I made the mistake of recommending MO to some people, but they had issues trying to make it work, so I will not recommend it to you.

So Wrye Bash should be your answer. You can switch to it, but you will still need OBMM for extracting OMODs and the bsa timestamp reset. Using two managers to install mods can make it difficult to keep track of overwrites.

No idea, sorry. Some have mentioned that it might have something that resembles profiles, but I have never really thought about it, and I might have misread it, too. When you downloaded Wrye Bash, there should have been several html files in ...Mopy\Docs folder. The General and Advanced Readmes might have some info on it. I only ever use one profile, for both playing and making mods, switching them would be too much of a nuisance. Lazy me. :P

I hope you will get it all working, and perhaps someone with more knowledge will chime in and inform us both.
