Sertith
Heyo all, I was thinking it'd be really nice to know how much exp I'm gaining as I go along. A lot of games already do this, it bothers me that Skyrim doesn't. Maybe it's immersion breaking? I don't know. I've done some googling, and looking around Nexus, and I can't find a mod like this, but for all I know there IS one already. Help or suggestions would be appreciated. :)
cdcooley
Skyrim is an open-ended role-playing game. There's no ending point and its mechanics aren't built around some arbitrary numerical score. The closest you could come is measuring your character's overall level and level in the various skills. Or from a role-playing perspective you could consider the list of completed quests. There are mods such as SkyXP and SXP that attempt to create a "traditional" experience point system. They are considered game overhauls and will frequently lead to odd situations since they are so fundamentally different than the game's own design. Personally I think you're far better off setting goals for your character (joining guilds, completing quests, raising certain skills, etc.) to create your own measure of progress customized to the nature character you are playing. If you want numbers consider the Skills display and the multiple pages worth of General Stats and pick a few that would matter to your character and keep track of them.
