Skyrim-Oblivion Grown up?

Hey all, Running skyrim on 360 here ( :( ) due to the death of my pc last year.

First impressions, :- Wow, The visials are Miles better than i was expecting, having expected a slight step up from Fallout3/nv Graphics, Even on a console i was very pleased. the Ui is Very workable, although at a start a little confusing, ( as with any, am I right) I haven't even touched on the Main story, and have 20 hours under my belt. Level 15. The levelling system, allthough not as In depth as I am used to is still pretty good, and gets the point across, although I expected to be able to choose more than one perk at a time, but thats not a big complaint.

The game really feels like Bethesda have taken the best from Oblivion, Morrowind, Fallout and the Mods, and really combined it all together to make a Smashing game, the Feel of the game, is very mature, I think the New UI and Hud really adds a lot to this, although I personally feel the speech selection box could have been moved a little more into the corner, but overall everything feels less invasive than the Oblivion UI and HUD.

The Character creation was a tad laggy on My 360, But, was very complete, the addition of Scars, Dirt, and Finally, a correct system for skin tone. My Battle scarred nord can have a blind eye, and the Beards, Oh the beards, Makes me want to grow one myself.

The Parts of the map I have explored feel very scandinavian, highlands, Mountains, Wetland, and the mountains are fantastic, Caves feel much more naural, and less like copy paste sections.

And Riften, Riften is very very Beautiful, reminds me of Generic Villages here in the U.k in Mid Autumn. Rattly iron railings, Leafy cemetary. Although i must admit, i have only Discovered two major cities so far.

Gripes.- More crafting options, arrows especially, i have encountered one quest bug, upon paying for the realease of a certain prisoner ( minor NPC quest) he would not leave the Dungeon, and the Quest was Broken. shame ( only one I have come across, apart form the to be expected Animal Ai problems, Warping, getting stuck e.t.c)

I am especially sad over the departure of first person horseriding. and the inability to turn Killcam off. but, not gamebreaking.

Verdict. 97%.

Beautiful immersive gameworld, riddled with interesting and clever quests.

Many secrets are left to be uncovered.

As oblivion felt like a confused teenager, Skyrim feels more like a well rounded adult.

Nice one Bethesda, I didnt think you had it in you to Master The Elder Scrolls once more. but you pulled through and pulled this out of you hat, and for that, I am very grateful.
