Shoesisownage
Hey, after constant searching I came to the conclusion that there is no actual Oblivion Sun Shafts/God Rays mod.As I am sure you all know, sun shafts are shafts of light that flow around objects blocking a light source. This is currently very popular in Crysis, and I wondered if it would be possible in Oblivion. I know that there are plenty of enhanced graphical effects mods, such as Depth of Field and Motion Blur, both of which I am currently using. So, if I searched incorrectly, please give me a link to a mod similar to this.If anyone could make one it would be greatly appreciated. Here is a picture of sun shafts just for good measure.http://www6.incrysis.com/images/incrysis_sunshafts_dx10.jpgThey do not require DX10; I currently am using them in crysis, so ignore the "DX10" in the link. Vagrant0
I'm not really sure what you're talking about, but I believe that what you're saying is something related to how lights cast shadows on particles in the air. This would be something specific to how the engine handles light, and renders it, You really couldn't even really replicate the effect through modding since this is an engine issue. The closest you could get would probably involve a really subtle amount of fog, and spending a few hours playing with the .ini settings to make it work. And that would probably only be repeatable only for those who had your exact graphics card.

Thanks for the heads up; I really have no idea what I am doing so that is why I was requesting. The closest thing that I found was included in the Better Environments mod, the one that added all those weather and lighting types. They got close to what I wanted but not quite. Thanks anyway. threedees
Most games cheat god rays with planes with alpha-ed textures. I guess a prop could be added and put into the world or interiors, probably not practical for light coming through clouds or under trees. For say a specific dungeon though with some cracks in the ceiling, that could be done. EDIT: they kinda end up like this:http://rvforsaleguide.com/images/rays-of-god.jpg
threedees
Well I could if there was a specific use for them, like say a dungeon tile-set as a modder's resource but I wouldn't go through all the oblivion interiors adding them lol.
TheTerminator2004
There's already a couple for dungeons in Oblivion... I remember using them when working for Project Serpent.
