Wertoret
So after a long 10 hours sleep in Ralof's house at Riverwood, I set out with my horse on my way to whiterun. Right after crossing the north gate from riverwood I see 3 figures walking towards me: Hired Thugs. Me, playing on master difficulty, knew that It'll be a very tough time if I tried to deal with those guys unprepared, so I go back to the town to stock up on potions. Once I exit the trader's house, guess what, a DRAGON attacks riverwood. so here I was, kiting the hired thugs, since they were walking towards me and had to talk to me before engaging in combat, while running around with my bow trying to take down the dragon, with the help of the guards... I had to reload several times before I could successfully take down the dragon and escape the town before the thugs finished contemplating the skeleton of the dead dragon and went after me. The dragon could literally kill me in 1 fire breath if it caught me uncovered, the thugs could kill me with a finishing move when I was at full health. Thanks for reading this and if you have a truly epic experience from skyrim, feel free to share here!
DrunkMiffy
I had the hired thugs happen too.. Reminded me of Fallout a little bit. Also made me think who wants me dead :(
Wertoret
actually, battle-born clan wanted me dead, according to the contract guess I shouldn't have stolen those books in their house lol
HiddenRanger
I also had the three guys come up to me. It was outside a bar some time after I stole from the battle-born clan. Guess we shouldn't steal from them lol
Jagex
You guys must be terrible thieves if they knew to send thugs after you! :PI was trying to get to Ivarstead and after going around some obviously hostile necromancers (that thankfully let me off with a warning), I jumped off of 3 massive waterfalls and lost half my health.Only to learn that I'd gone the wrong way. :psyduck:
Maigrets
I've had the hired thugs as well, but if that's not bad enough I have the Dark Brotherhood assassins after me. I know who it is though. I stole some gear from a witch in the woods and she didn't take kindly to it, although she couldn't even see me in the basement. She's now dead so that's probably why the DB are after me. She attacked me first so it wasn't murder, just self defense.... :whistling: The witch's sister is the one taking revenge. There was a letter in the shack explaining who she is and the contract on me actually makes it sound as if she is a DB member. I suppose I won't be applying for membership any time soon. ;D Edited November 13, 2011 by Maigrets
Corlan
This happened to me twice, once it was the Battle-Born thingy, the other time... Well, the contrack said I killed someone's beloved and have to pay, the wife had hired the thugs. First time I was attacked I was in Dawnstar, right after killing a dragon. The guards didn't give a damn. Second time I was about to kill my new companion for the wild after I brought her there for her cool armor.
