PrincessAmysDragons
So has anyone been able to use heavy combat armor arms in bodyslide using CBBE and been able to get the arms to fit perfectly inside of the armor, with no clipping issues? I don't know if anyone can help me with this, but I've been trying to get this to work for almost 3 hours now. I've even tried sliding all of the sliders for my body and for the armor to 0% so that at least everything would match and then should theoretically fit perfectly but it does not. Someone please help. Thanks. http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac23/RyanPBaskett/20160620153139_1_zps3tmw1iky.jpghttp://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac23/RyanPBaskett/20160620153121_1_zpssgriguf4.jpg Edited June 20, 2016 by PrincessAmysDragons
bLakZmOkeareOoouYyye
You could try opening the armor in outfit studio and just moving the mesh directly to fit your arm
PrincessAmysDragons
You could try opening the armor in outfit studio and just moving the mesh directly to fit your armIt's funny that you mention that, because I actually did do that and was able to get it to fit that way, but I couldn't figure out how to import the change back into the game. I have never made my own mods before and have never really used the tool that is the outfit studio that comes with bodyslide. With no instructions after about an hour of tinkering I was able to use the move feature in a New Project to move my body that I imported from Data into the correct position lined up wit the arm, but then in saving it there were a lot of things, sort of and I don't think I saved everything right because the change didn't show up in the game :(. I'm willing to learn if someone is willing to teach :) Thanks.
PrincessAmysDragons
Ok, for some reason, these are really blurry, but this is about as close as I was able to get it in the studio. http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac23/RyanPBaskett/Edit%202_zpstsdonmev.pnghttp://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac23/RyanPBaskett/Edit%201_zpsayvslyxj.pngAs you can now see in the above photos, the rings near the armpit wrap fully around the arm with no clipping. At the forearm and elbow levels there is no clipping at the back of the forearm any longer or at the bendy spot in the elbow. The arm band that holds on the elbow guard wraps fully around the arm with no clipping unlike the photos shown in the original posting. I used C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\meshes\Actors\character\characterassets\FemaleBody.nif, imported it into the outfit studio via New Project, and imported C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Tools\bodyslide\ShapeData\CBBE Vanilla\Combat Armor - Arm Heavy L.nif into the new project as well so that the body (nakey) and that single piece of armor came together. After that I used the move setting, to move the body correctly into the correct position with the three x, y sliders available. All that part was fine. It is saving the file so that it can either be moved back into the game or is saved as a replacement game file by default that I'm not sure of. I'm not even sure if my methods for importing were the right ones as far as getting the body and armor into the studio as well. PrincessAmysDragons
I get idea of the output destination, that is where the exported project file will be exported to when saved, but I have no idea what the differences between the "weight" options are, or what those even mean. Also what about the other fields, do those look OK? Does "Copy referenced shape into output" need to be checked or unchecked? What does that do? http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac23/RyanPBaskett/Edit%203_zps3mmwxvkv.png
PrincessAmysDragons
Ok, also, I saved the file output destination to that custom location seen above. After saving went to check to see the file and the folder is blank, nothing saved, no file, nothing.
PrincessAmysDragons
After I would theoretically make this change happen in game, how then will the edit react to showlooksmenu player 1 's changes to the character body with the in-menu body changer? That doesn't affect the armor I'm wearing, just the body? Or does it affect the armor too? I hope all of this helps you to help me better. I'm really trying the best that I can :) Edited June 21, 2016 by PrincessAmysDragons
PrincessAmysDragons
This mod request, is now a request to mod my knowledge of how to use the outfit studio by teaching me how to use it. It still counts as a mod request related to the content of Fallout 4. ;)
bLakZmOkeareOoouYyye
Uhhhh... Yeah. Well when you have modified an outfit there, you go to Files > Save Project As... > Save, Don't touch anything when you're in the save window just save. By default it should look something like this... Output File Name Should be the same as the originalOutput Data Path should be the destination where you want your edited mesh to goSingle Weight Output is nice, the other just makes 2 different meshes I don't know whats the purpose of this Don't touch Project section unless you want to be a hipster And now that you have saved it you go open the bodyslide window and "Batch Build", Check only "New Outfit" and Build that batch. Now the new mesh should be in your data folder. Edited June 21, 2016 by bLakZmOkeareOoouYyye
PrincessAmysDragons
So I didn't touch any of the save settings. I loaded the New Outfit into Body Slide and clicked Build. In game it doesn't appear to have fixed anything. I don't know how to fix this...
