Some of the best mods for Oblivion were the weather mods. A howling storm with trees swaying and rain lashing against the thatched roofs of the villages. And then the next morning, and crisp sunny day with whispy white clouds far above. Very atmospheric.

I also think it would be brilliant if there were foliage and/or weather seasons, with snow moving down from the peaks in winter, and the grass in the valleys going lush green in summer.

And of course - my own all time favourite - darker nights.

As far as I've seen, weather is dynamic: from howling wind, blizzards, snowdrifts and more.

With that said, what other changes would you like, specifically?

Well, different kinds of clouds at different altitudes would be nice.

Fog banks in the morning.

Proper lightning during storms.

Different kinds of rain, snow and sleet.

The major thing I suppose is the seasonal variation. That just gives the whole world a sense of being alive and always changing.

I can't imagine seasons or darker nights, Skyrim has quite an open sky, and the moonlight looks very nice in the fields surrounding whiterun, if a modder could apply darker nights to only certain locations, or perhaps just darken the shadows from clouds that would be fine.

I also can't imagine seasons as it was advertized that the landscape for skyrim is set up so that each area is at certain elevations giving them their own climates.

But nonetheless i'd still try the mod to see how it changes the game.

i would like to see different weather more often. it shouldnt change daily, but over longer spans of time. dont switch weather at midnight every day, but rather have weather changes happen over larger periods of time, and persist (it shouldnt rain for an hour, and then be sunny), with maybe a few static weather patterns (fog near coasts, rain in swampy areas, snow in high mountains, etc.)

Seasons aren't a big deal for me, the game doesn't have enough content to keep me going for an in-game year. Not that I would have a problem with really long winter nights. And besides, Skyrim is likely to have vast differences between the seasons, as the ice melts in spring, increasing the flow of the rivers, etc
