Rilez736
Hello,Loving Skyrim, but when I enter some interiors, dungeons being the main culprit, the game drops to about 10-20 FPS whereas to exteriors I get 30-60 FPS. What could be causing this? I run on ultra settings with a few tweaks with the shadows. I am also getting some incredible mouse lag, even with Mouse acceleration turned off. Specs: Intel i5 750 @ 2.67 GHz (I turn on Turbo-Boost when I play)8Gb DDR3 RAMAsus Nvidia GTX 460 Direct CU 1GB DDR5 Help is appriciated.
Misiok
If interiors lag, it might be the shadows. Trying lowering them or disabling entirely for testing and see if it improves anything.
DasBooter
I have the same issue - outside is smooth but inside the frame rate drops when looking at light sources (candles, some fireplaces). A lot of other posts on the Steam and Neogaf forums are reporting the same thing. It's happening on good systems. I haven't tried disabling shadows for testing. nic1357890
its not shadows. ive spent all morining messing around with this and all i can think is it has something to do with lighting/heat distortion, i.e. the fireplaces in most houses will hurt your fps unless you move away from them. not certain as im not technically knowledgable, but disabling shadows wont fix the problem. edit; the distortion effects when looking at shallow water dont affect fps, but they do when combined with lighting (waterfalls in some interior cells for example) so i think its some wierd combination of the two that is causing people problems.
