Working on mashing the vault111 Suit and some armor pieces together in NifSkope (making an Armoured Vault 13 Jumpsuit and I want it to LOOK right.) PROBLEM IS: it seems to work, renders fine in CK, (only error is about a darkgrey texture file, but that oneALWAYS pops up, default warning I safely ignore all the time) but when I equip it ingame I become invisible, floating hands/head/feet. Been trying solo for days and I keep getting it working in CK, but I'm always invisible, gone through 50+ iterations so far. I got this to work with a painting, I added a fountain TriShape to it and it works alright ingame but armor/clothing seems to be much different. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7h7Bcsva8TVUmk3VEhEN2ZLZzQ === >> is my current working .nif. I'm linked to the [0]NiNode (Parent/Child ok), BS Props/skin info look good, textures are ALL vanilla for testing (until I get the mashup MESH working it's easier to use vanilla textures) and I'm just "copy branch" with BSSubIndexTriShape, BSLightingShderLightingProp, and BSTextures from a vanilla Nif (BSSkin:Instance and Bone Data don't seem to matter, I add them and link them in or just use the VaultSuit BSSkin, they BOTH work in CK "preview window" {dbl-click a .nif, not the whole CK, just a preview module popup.) and BOTH turn me transparent. Using Leather Armor M_Arm_L_Light.nif and Vaultsuit111.nif, prune the BS:Skin+Instance data from the arm piece, copy branch the TriShape, (gets me TriShape, BSShaderProps and BSTextures) and paste branch into VaultSuit111.nif. Child/Parent links,save. BS skin set to the VaultSuit info, save. Textures reset to whatever they need to be, save. At this point it WORKS (renders fine) in the CK, but turns the whole VaultSuit (and ME) Invis In-game. What am I missing? I've tried the invisible textures fixes, but my texture paths are 100% identical to the vanilla Arm Nif. Also, if anyone wants to share working 3DSMax Import/Export Nif settings, I'd love a screen, Keep getting external emittance /controller errors on everything I export, even if I just import/export a vanilla nif untouched. Mebbe my Import settings are messed up? IDK. I know Blender is superior, but I don't create stuff, just mod existing, and 3DS is really just a bridge for importing custom .OBJ files, I almost exclusively use Nifskope. JesterDoobie Posted June 22, 2016 Author Share Posted June 22, 2016 I'm An Idiot. I was having texture problems cuz my paths are all messed up (GDIT!!!) BUT the root issue I'm having, namely mashing armor pieces onto clothing, is still here, I'm totally stuck. The base suit shows up fine, just none of my additions.
