apolloman123
HI there. I havent played fallout 4 for ages and I recently picked up the Far Harbour and remembered why i loved it so much. Thats whay I want to try my hand at modding. Im looking to make a custom power armour mod. Ive looked around but I cant find any mention of Nifskope for Maya, Its 3D Max or blender. The problem is Ive used them in the past and I dont really like them. For me, Maya is the better choice and I dont really want to add another program to learn on my list. Is there any way I could use my models made in Maya and get them in game? Thanks.
LucidMovement
My process is.... Export them as OBJ, bring them into BodySlide, export as NIF. Import nif in NifSkope and remove the Skin Instance node and any bones that may have been created. Add the material to the Shading node and save. No idea how to do collisions yet though. apolloman123
Collisions would be handled in nifskope wouldn't they? I dont need to worry about skin weighting and the like in maya right, just the modeling. I'll try out that workflow with a test model before I get into the good stuff. Even if i cant get it in game Im still going to make a power armour model, I would just be real nice to have it function. Thanks
