Higgenboober
So if I have a lot of quests enabled, some of the markers don't show up on the compass nor are they floating in the game world (above NPC heads, doors, etc...) The quest marker might work if I disable every quest marker and mark it first. Its as if the game is overloaded with quest markers and glitches out. This stuff happens to console users too I believe so I'm thinking its not just because of my mod list. I've searched extensively for a solution on the Nexus forums and on Google yet no one has an actual solution. So has anyone managed to fix this problem with a patch or something yet? Its frustrating to still have this problem after trying to ignore it for so long. EDIT: Also, the quest markers all show up fine on the map. Its only the compass and floating world markers that don't appear. Edited June 22, 2016 by Higgenboober
Darkstyler35
[its as if the game is overloaded with quest markers and glitches out]Do you use any mods that change the ways markers / map work ? Disable them and test in gameData/interface rename map.swf & hudmenu.gfx from Data/Interface/Exported.
Higgenboober
I tried renaming both map.swf and hudmenu.gfx, it didn't change anything besides the colour of the markers. I still have the same problem of quest markers not showing up on compas/floating world unless I untick a bunch of quests
Higgenboober
Anyone got a solution?
Darkstyler35
Untick ALL your mods with the launcher / mod manager, (not uninstall) and test in game. If it worked, tick them slowly untill you find the mod that is causing this. If above doesn't work, backup your ini files if you have modified them and delete the files. Skyrim.ini / SkyrimCustom.ini / SkyrimPrefs.ini found in C:\Users\Utilisateur\Documents\My Games\Skyrim. Verify gamecache
Higgenboober
Even with every plugin disabled I still have this issue. No one else is getting this problem? I've had this since I got the game and was hoping its a bug that has been fixed by now. Or am I the only one who toggles on all the quest markers? ctjranderson
i have the same issue and don't think it's because of mods. Its most likely a way to prevent the compass from filling up with objectives. Assuming this issue is vanilla, and made by the devs, there might be a way to change it in the ini settings. I usually just check my map for whatever objective im doing. I have no idea what the ini setting might be.
BlueRaja
It's not caused by a mod, it's a bug in the game. I've seen it in Fallout 3/4 also. AFAIK there's no fix other than to only enable ~10 quests at a time.
