madmax747
Also horses should indeed run a lot faster. If you have console, you can change that yourself. Just click the horse, then... setav speedmult #(100 default, value in %) ~250-300 or so is extremely fast. Thank you for this great tip. I like 500 but I have to hold the slow down key on the turns! BMenegroth
Yes, I genuinely felt bad about making Lydia run behind me while I rode my horse for those really long travels... Haha me too. Combined with her "Yes, my thane" dialogue it really feeles like you're some kind of slave master, so I just don't use her anymore untill there is a mod like this, or another compagnion who comes with a horse. Also horses should indeed run a lot faster. My thoughts exactly. I feel even worse when I have to cross a river in the confort of Shadowmere's back while she gets eaten by those pirana-like fish. And having the option to call the horses to your position would be awesome. It's because we don't have this option that I felt compelled to give Frost a taste of my blades once I got Shadowmere. Everytime there was a combat the bastard ran to the edge of the world map and the only way to get it again was by fast-traveling. Bethesda made me kill my horse. But I digress. drakesteele
How about making the horse run from combat as well. Though I appreciate the help and all, I don't think a real horse would go charging headlong at a giant or dragon. Just for the sake of realism. Well they're warhorses - trained to fight... however... mine DOES run from combat quite often... it will fight small things but man-sized or larger my horse bails... magic too - a zap or two or some fire and he runs like the wind... I've had to search ten minutes to find his ass. lol
