borge12
So, after repeated dragon attacks on one little village, most of the NPCs are dead. I'm trying to figure out a way to resurrect the NPCs. I saw that there is a command ResurrectActor but I can not get it to work for the life of me. Has anyone else had any luck? daniel42i21
Worked for me with a stupid companion I kinda lost my temper at... Just bring up console, click on the corpse, and type resurrect Course this only works if you know where the corpse is...
PsYchotic666Joker
Step 1: open console Step 2: click a corpse Step 3: type "resurrect" then press enter profit?
LoofSquared
Though knowing how the game is, it'll still handle the NPCs as marked dead, so the shopkeep wouldn't sell you anything and so on and so on. They'll only have the default actions after resurrected and might not even speak.
borge12
Ahhh, I was not getting the part where you click on the corpse after the console is up. Thanks. And, I resurrected a shop keeper and I am able to buy things from him.

GoodfellowGoodspring
Its a shame that dead NPCS are replenished with time would add to the realism etc.. But yeah 'resurrect' - ive used it on my horse many times because it cant handle 100ft falls :(
thenobody6
Malborn died after leaving the Thalmor embassy. I went to the WIDeadBodyCleanupCell and found his corspe and ressurected him, then used the 'moveto player' command to place him in Windhelm. But all he does is stand in the same spot and say hello. He's supposed to run to the New Gnosis Cornerclub and give me a quest to kill a Thalmor. Any help? Is there really no way to get NPC's entirely back after they die? placing a new Malborn with the 'player.placeatme' command doesn't work either. It will give me a Malborn that walks around but he still won't give a quest. ps: also found a different alive Malborn in the cleanupcell. he looks almost the same yet has different hair. the original Malborn was dead on the ground. wtf? I was quite disappointed when I found out only shopkeepers with relatives might get replaced by such relatives when died.
Perraine
With the "resurrect" command, most of the NPC AI routines depend on how long ago they were killed and whether the cell was reset (or you/the NPC zoned somewhere) If you get to them straight away, the game might not register them as "dead" and (usually) there AI routines will remain intact. Once their death is registered (especially if you save/load a game) them it's pretty much over. You could try clicking on the NPC and then typing "disable" then "enable" and also "resetai" but again, both of those I think, rely on the game NOT having registered their deaths, as NPC deaths are affected by in-game scripts (the inheritance and family member taking over ones) I think there is a mod on the nexus which sets virtually all the relatively important town NPC's as "essential" so they can't be killed by random dragon/vampire attacks.
