Etheric
What's the math behind armor rating? It's obviously not flat damage reduction so it must be some kind of percent. It's really frustrating to have to decide between two pieces of armor that have different effects and a 10-point armor difference and have no clue what 10 points of armor gives me. Also frustrating to not know if I should bother casting stoneskin before every fight. Does it have some kind of diminishing returns mechanic? So if D=damage, A=armor rating and T=total final damage, then is this armor: D*(100-A)/100=T like older Elder Scrolls games? D*(1-A/(100+A))=T like League of Legends? Or what?
