How to get more profit from selling items?

Hi friends

Got a problem. Whenever I try selling loot, the merchant pays only 60-65% (depending on their merchantile skill) of the value of the item, and up to a maximum amount of $800, $1000 or $1200. It seems like a design made to prevent get rich quick gameplay. Is there any way (or are there any mods) to overcome this? Also, which merchants in Cyrodil offers the highest price for the item and has lower merchantile skills?

Thanks!

According to this page, 1200 is the max for vanilla merchants. There are, of course, mods that give more money to the existing merchants, and some shop mods probably have merchants with a lot of gold. There's also my Summonable Merchant mod, the most unbalanced version of which has 1500 gold and 25 Mercantile. Not much, but you don't have to drag stuff back to the city.

I much prefer Morrowind's barter system. Finite amount of gold per day, but you can trade heavy big-ticket items for lightweight scrolls, potions, and enchanted items.

If you download the official mod 'Frostcrag Spire' you get a trader with low mercantile and 2000 gold. The Alchemist in Anvil mages guild is also pretty good if you are a member. Quickest way to make money is through making and selling potions. Alchemy levels up incredibly fast so buying all from the shops in the market district and converting them to potions nets an increasing amount. By the time your own Merc skill hits 50 you can trade any item with any merchant. Merc increases per item sold. If you can face the boredom, you can sell arrows one by one to get the increases faster. Personally I can't be arsed to do that.
