Just curious does anybody actually fast travel

Only for loot. I love exploring Skyrim, for now, as long as its still unpredictable what I'll find.

I saw a whole other side of Oblivion when I decided to play without fast-traveling. So I decided to do the same with Skyrim and only fast travel for selling loot and back.

I quite often fast travel between the major cities. I was disappointed by how the carriages can't be used to auto-travel in real time, like how you arrive in Helgen... But I'm guessing this might be moddable, at least the clairvoyance spell seems to know the right way, so it shouldn't be impossible to implement :confused:

To be honest, I'm quite bedazzled by how many who voted yes.. I really thought, in a "hard core" forum like The Nexus, the people here never fast traveled.. Well, I never fast travel, never ever.. that ruins the role playing aspect, well, for me anyway.. No offence to anyone, I was just really suprised.. :)

Never (unless you count carriages as fast travel, then sometimes).

 

You can basically carry a house worth of loot with you in this game, even with a weak thief character at level 1, so I'm always heading through a town before I am overencumbered. I have a horse, so I just ride where I need to go. And gallop away from anything dangerous along the way. It gives me time to check Facebook and Twitter while I play :)
