Nadimos
I can confirm the companion from azuras shrine is as bad ass as a companion can get. She uses frost staff +ice bolts+fire+conjuration+shock spells. On adept it feels quite overpowered to me. If you dont want to spoil the game to much, go expert. Sadly i cannot resolve a sound issue i often have with her unless i save my game and reload. Edited November 16, 2011 by Nadimos
Redguardian5000
Name: Uthgerd the Unbroken Location: The Bannered Mare Type: Two-handed Weapons, Heavy Armor. Unlock: Challenge her to a fist fight. It's pretty easy, I won with my high elf mage at level 4. Name: IrelethLocation: DragonsreachType: One-handed Weapons, Shield, Heavy ArmorUnlock: **SPOILER** - Part of main quest line, defeat the first dragon and she becomes available. She'll wait for you at the exit of Dragonsreach Just an unrelated side-note. I gave the second one the highest armor I could and a shield to make a meatshield for my mage, and a one-handed fire weapon. The fire weapon is used to activate the bonus damage fire sources get on targets that are already on fire. Also, if you give your companion a bow they will switch to it depending on the situation. It seems like unless you want your companion solely for DPS that you should stay away from this. It seems they not only miss a lot, but they aren't really good about knowing when to use it. And as a DPS glass cannon class, I prefer to have my companion charge in first and be super tanky. I didn't like the inconsistencies. There's a lot more info up on UESP, but some of this might be new.
