OneoftheLost
First of all...Hello. I'm fairly new, and this is my first post. From the topic you can probably piece together I am having problems with the Oblivion Construction Set. First thing, yes I have used the search function, however, I may have phrased my problem wrong, forgive me if I did so. Next, your probably wondering what my exact problem is, and better yet what I am trying to do. For my first mod I decided to make a tavern, simple enough right? I learned myself on the CS Wiki, and went to town. Then it dawned on me that I wanted it to be a quest, where YOU could become the tavern owner and make money. Again I'm fairly new here, so let me put my EXACT problem. In a nutshell, the dialogue is causing a crash. "ZOMG!! Dialogue..." I hear ya. You see the funny thing is, all I wanted to do was make a quest, and have the quest giver be a dying bartender. Maybe its karma...anyway... my very specific problem is that the Construction Set crashes whenever I create a topic and try to right click on the info box and edit the response. From what Ive gathered the CS is trying to open this box->-> http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...te-Response.jpg Unfortunatly it can't, and I cannot figure out why. Before you get all "Well have you tried...." Here is a list of everything I have done. -Re-install CS-Patch CS-Re-install Oblivion-Install an older version of CS-Run a blank plugin-Save just before right clicking-Patch SI-Remove SI-Remove DLC's-Turned off Vista protection (UAC, Firewall, Defender, and others.)-Turned off all anti-virus programs-Turned off all other programs that might be running in the background.-Re-boot (multiple times. )-delete the construction set ini file found at My documents/my games/oblivion-Borrowed somebody elses' ini file from that location.-Tried Filter Dialogue-Threw various household items. (Probably didn't help...but it felt good.) As you have probably guessed. NONE of those worked. Now hold on, I can hear you now. "Don't make it a quest." I'm bullheaded, and when something doesnt work, Imma keep trying until it does. So there I'm not expecting any direct solve my problems answers, but I am hoping that somebody can point me in the right direction. So far nobody on the official forums has any clue, and I can only find one other documented case of this error on the CS wiki, and his question was never solved. If you have any questions or suggestions please post them. If anybody, somewhere, somehow could help me, I would <3 forever.
Vagrant0
Are you trying to load dialogue from the NPC window, or from the top menu? Typically you only want to change dialogues accessed from the quest or NPC menu.

OneoftheLost
1gig. The game reads 8 something due to video card, so it acts like a 512. Ram shouldn't affect it though, I can do everything in the render screen and such. Its just that one window that won't open.
