RollandM
Nothing super crazy here, these are just the things I feel the main game is missing, To make it easy to read for modders interested in this stuff I've split everything up into sections. Also if any of these mods are in other posts I'm not trying to rip off your ideas, but kudos for us thinking alike. Magic Mods 1. Scroll Writing.- The ability to use your Enchanting Skill with a parchment and quill to inscribe any spell you know to a scroll for later use, or to write your own enchantments for items. 2. Spell Making- Why they left this out I will NEVER understand. Its been a staple of mage play in the previous games and I would love to see it return. For balance I would suggest making it so that in order for you write your own spells you must have mastered the school of magic you are writing for and know the basic spell effects that will be used. Horse Mods 1. Horse Armor 2. Horseback Combat - For balance make it possible to accidentally hit your horse while riding it perhaps resulting in a chance of the horse throwing you off if anyone's willing to add that extra bit (not necessary potentially killing the horse is enough for me), that way it will take skill. By hit the horse I don't mean like a random chance while swinging your blade but I mean if your cross hair is on ANY part of the horse and you swing, or your weapon passes through the horse on a swing you will hurt your steed. 3. Carriage Travel Improvement- Instead of just getting in and having a loading screen why not give us the option to actually sit back and enjoy the ride, see the environment go past us. I mean its not something everyone will use but it may be nice to just take a relaxing ride around the countryside once in a while. Not to mention how come you encounter bandits on foot but never on carriage. It might be fun to have to hop out and save the carriage, or maybe use your bow or magic to take down robbers trying to catch your carriage as the driver tries to run from them. And being able to get out of the carriage mid journey if you see something interesting could be fun. Of course leave the option to skip the ride in if you just wanna get there quickly. Apparel Mods 1. More Clothes & Armor- Nothing crazy or out of place like full latex body armor or the stereotype female armor where less = more. I mean things like the following:--Better Hats--More Clothes (as long as they don't look out of place)--Winter Clothes (we are in Skyrim, and everyone dresses like they are from Cyrodill or Morrowind. Lets have some warm winter clothes, and of course this is a perfect excuse to make capes and long coats) 2. Underwear & Nudity- The way I see it I really don't have to list this but I want to make a few points on how I would like to see it done since nobody has done so yet (at least not as far as I've seen) Underwear seems to be a luxury in this setting if you ask me, why is EVERYONE wearing it I imagine a lot of people would be naked under their clothes especially the poor. And please make the nudity mods beast race friendly, there is no love there for the Khajiit and Argonian, and of course do it for males too, and I don't want barbie doll nudity, actually throw in the right parts, Kudos to anyone who takes into consideration that the beast races likely wouldn't have bits that look identical to men and mer bits.- As for Underwear well I think we should be able to take it on and off as an item in the apparel menu when selected its either always on under clothes but not always rendered unless we are naked, and allow us to buy new sets of underwear because quite frankly the default set is bland, a little colour & some different styles might be nice ranging from the sack cloth undies worn by the poor all the way up to fine silks and furs worn by the rich. 3. Beast Tails & Clothing- Okay this one bugs me a bit in 3rd person when playing a beast race, the tail just CLIPS through the back of the clothes, if possible try to alter the clothing so that the clothing is a little different for beast races so that they have a proper hole for the tail. and maybe even some tail clothing. 4. Chain mail Armor- To the best of my knowledge this is not in the game and it should be, a light armor better than leather, and make it craftable. 5. Silver Armor- It feels like its missing. Weapons 1. Silver Weapons- Again, it feels like its missing from the game. Crafting1. Stormcloak Armor Smithing- We can make Imperial armour but not Stormcloak? Fix please? 2. Dye/Paint- Made an alchemy station, used at the armor bench/grinding wheel This would be made from plants like say Blue Mountain Flower for blue, Lavender for purple, we could apply it to our weapons and armor to colour them. That's all I got, just the basic little things, that I expect the modding community to cover, leave your thoughts be they praise or hate. ----Edit apparently I was unaware that Silver weapons are in the game, I looked on the wiki's and saw nothing then again its a new game not everything is posted yet. atrayu17
@warkittens maybe he/she hasnt gotten that far lol......especially funny since they rip werewolves apart and when you are in wolf form you get killed very fast......damn silver-bloods
MrTastix
Yup. Silver Weapons exist (do The Champions questline, kill some of The Silver-Hand, steal their silver loots) but there's no specific smithing perk to craft them. Not sure of the point, really. Silver weapons don't seem that much better than any other weapon for killing werewolves and the like. Granted, my weapons are all enchanted. >.> Edited November 14, 2011 by MrTastix

AxleB
I agree with everything you've listed Rolland. Personally, I'd like to see more tes artifacts, and the ones that are in the game restored to how they used to be somewhat (saviors hide got nerfed again it seems). Obviously more armour types both light and heavy (Where would Stalhrim fit i wonder?) I realize the game is supposed to feel like this rugged frozen wasteland, but something like the '(Game) Comes alive' mod would be nice. Obligatory spears, thrown weapons, crossbows, mounted combat, dragon mounts, etc etc etc blegh. Honestly the thing i miss the most is wearing clothes under the armour, my favorite created item in morrowind was exquisite pants with jump XX-100 for 2 secs. And with armour now including greaves there's one less slot for an enchanted item.
