Dragons don't breathe fire and torches don't have flames

After playing for a while I'm realized that the dragons are not actually breathing fire at me. Just screaming blurry air at me that sets me alight. My torches also have no flames but are surrounded by blurry air. I really need to find a solution to this problem.

This happens when the fire textures are not loading properly. Save & exit the game, and then restart it. (This works for isolated incidents of purple objects as well, which are also missing textures. Not sure why they look different (fire is clear while everything else seems to be purple. A certain spoiler happens to turn sort of silvery black when parts of its texture dont work, so fire isn't the only abnormal thing))

Though the game should normally load all textures just fine if you have at least 1GB of video ram, it will occasionally slip up resulting in some items just randomly not having textures part-way through the game. If you lack sufficient vram, you will see lots of missing textures apparently.

I have six gigs of RAM and still the flames do not appear on the torches. Someone has told me that the problem is that I had alt-tabbed out of the game (which I have at the character create menu) and to try starting a new game since my main save was probably corrupt. This had no apparent effect since I could not find a torch in game to see if it had worked. I could also not force a torch into my inventory through console. I do not know what the dragon fire is supposed to look like so I could not tell if the dragon fire was fixed by seeing the dragon that appears at the beginning breathe fire.

My spider web effects do not appear as well. For example, the ruins you explore near the beginning to learn the first word of power. The is supposed to be web blocking the player's way into a room containing a wounded frostbite spider. But for me it was a clear doorway.

I have found downloaded a fix, but I really appreciate your help regardless. Thank you!
