mamosley2
*Spoilers*While in Whiterun, this old lady told me her son was being kidnapped, etc etc... Well, she told me to meet her in her house. I went and did a few other quests, and when I finally got around to meeting her in her house, as SOON as I walk in, her kid attacks me! I've tried reloading a bunch of times, but all that happens is I walk in the house, the son attacks, and all I can do is fight back, but it won't let me kill him. He just goes down to one knee, then keeps attacking, and the mother flees. What do I do? Please help!
kado2999
This is a quest i'm still trying to figure out a neutral way of doing it, but the best way to avoid killing her son, is to let the old lady go into her house first. When she's in there, go ahead and go on in. Then a conversation should start and that should solve it. I've actually had that problem when I went ahead and he attacked me without the old lady being in there, so I just let her go in first, and that solved that little problem. My problem is right now is that I want to be able to free his brother in the northern prison nearby Solitude without having to go assault the prison or sneak in. One of the options is that you can find another way to free him without sneaking in or assaulting the prison. I'm still trying to figure out HOW I can get his brother out without either. Apparently they won't let him out of prison unless the imperial legion gives the word. I went to their main office, and the general says that he won't let him out because it would cause too much trouble with the Thalmor. I'm just stuck in a loop here. I went ahead and joined the imperial legion, and the ability to bring up this option from the General just disappears and you lose the ability to ask him later. I became a Solitude Thame, but even that didn't do nothing. Any info to neutrally do this without sneaking/attacking the prison would greatly be appreciated.
