KillerHappyFace
Sounds good! Hopefully, changes like these will help rebalance the armor tiers; they're a bit too stratified IMO. I'm a little dubious about reconstructing Dwemer stuff (personally, I'd like to see dwarven armor crafting removed and replaced with regular-ish plate made of dwarven metal) but I think you're on to something. I like the concept of additional variants of existing armors, as some of the suits are a bit too common, to the point where everyone wears it. As for new equipment ideas, perhaps some of these schematics can require an enchanting or alchemy skill level as well. Craft these like normal gear (but throw a soul gem/reagents in) and you get gear that trades off attack or armor for exceptionally powerful enchantments. (some shamelessly stolen from other games)-Spellblade: 1H sword that, when wielded next to destruction magic, applies that spell's damage on each hit costing 50% of the spell's mana cost per swing.-Elemental Aegis Shield: 50% magic resist in exchange for a weaker armor and block.-Weeping Blade: Low damage, but permanently imbued with virulent health, stamina, and magicka poisons.-Lightning Bow: requires no ammo, shoots lightning bolts instead.-Vorpal Sword: Greatsword, 10% chance of decapitating enemies lower level than you.-Elemental Gems: schematics around the world, apply one to a weapon to permanently enchant it with a moderate effect.-Axe of the Ages: Weak weapon, but can have each of the Elemental Gems applied to it, greatly increasing its damage.-Armor of the Dragon Mage: craft all of the Dragon Mage (or whatever they're called) masks to make a super awesome suit of armor! Prolly should have a few options for different playstyles.-Staff of Amplificaton: makes any spell cast while equipped twice as powerful.-Armor of the Berserker: Removes all magicka and adds it to stamina.-Black Fire Torch: Swing to become invisible/reveal yourself. Invisibility drains health.-Imitation Skeleton Key: unbreakable lockpick, reduces chest loot.-Horn of the North: increases Shout effects while held.-Firebrand: fire enchanted sword, glows with the light of a torch.-Crown of Winter: Weakness to fire, persistent ice cloak.
