Texture problems

Hello.

 

I used to run FO4 with mods with no problems. After some time I uninstalled the game and all mods. Then i reinstalled the game back, but this time with no mods at all, i don't use any mods in the current state. No matter if i start a new game, load a saved game that was saved when the game was using mods, or load a save of a game when there was no mods in use, i get missing textures and bugged textures, at times they look as if my graphic card was damaged, but other games with even higher system requirements work and look perfectly fine (I use the lowest graphic settings in Fallout4 atm, but i used to play FO4 on ultra with no problems). I have already tried checking cache or deleting all the .ini files to make them reset to default, the cache was fine and deleting didn't work. Also, switching details and other graphic settings didn't help either.

 

Any ideas what might be the problem and how to solve this?

When you uninstall the game, you want to go back and delete the game folder itself. If you didn't do that, there's a good chance pieces of you mods were left behind. Uninstalling only removes the vanilla files, and checking the game cache ignores them also.

I'm pretty sure i did that, i mean i deleted the game folder itself, but not sure, guess I'll reinstall again..

But if it's not the case, any other ideas? Thank you for your input!

If you uninstalled the game, manually deleted the game folder and also the ini file, reinstalled, and still getting problems, I would suspect that your drivers/os may need a good refreshing. That is unlikely, I would suspect leftover garbage as the primary cause.
