Amoral Mercenary Radiant Quests

Hi! Thank you modders for even taking the time to read this, and any one else who might think this would be fun.

One of the big problems with fallout is that you have be a goodie the whole time. The whole point of having some guy from the old world thrust into a new desperate one is to see how he would evolve/devolve and deal with moral quandries. Unfortunately, Bethesda cant write...

 

I think a simple mechanic that would REALLY add depth to the gameplay and narrative would be radiant quests given by a job board or courier that ask you to do some kind of mercenary work. The idea that they would escalate in pay the more immoral they were.

 

Basic quest structure

- Go to X clear it for caravan

- Go to between X and Y destroy caravan

- Go to X destroy new settlement

- Go to between X and Y kill all settlers moving in

- Go to settlement X and kill (new unique) NPC Y

 

Would give me something to do besides the main quest, that I absolutely detest, and killing ghouls for settlers that live 100 miles away...

 

Anyone else think this could be good?
