mahahkambaha Posted June 26, 2016 Share Posted June 26, 2016 Not really sure whether or not this is the right place to post this, so apologies in advance, but here goes nothing. A few months back i decided to see whether or not i still had access to this account which i had made waaaaay back when with a now defunct e-mail address. So, i typed in my login info and lo and behold, it worked! Naturally, the first thing i did was go to my user settings to change my old non-existent e-mail to a new one only to get "That e-mail is already in use." red message box (which is complete baloney- the new email in question was made a few months back and the only account i ever had on this website was this one). So, after a few futile attempts i resorted to changing it to a backup email account. Now, i logged back in today just for the heck of it and tried the same thing; again "email in use" malarkey. So, i signed out and went to the "Create a New Account" page and guess what?! The email with which i wanted to replace my old email initially was indeed available for a new account. Now that leads me to wonder: why is it that i can create a new account with this email but can not update my pre-existing one with it? If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
