Well they have said they want peoples dxdiag info if they've been having any technical problems.

Hopefully it will sort out the Windows XP freeze problem cos its the only problem I have.

Unless they fancy changing the user interface and inventory system of course. And alchemy. Cos i dont like either of those.

Havent set a date or anything for a patch so could be a week or could be months, but i hope its soon

The Dxdiag info collection was for Patch 1.1 - correct me if iam wrong?

Im with you on the UI change, it really needs a total overhaul but i dare to only dream about this, in my wildest dreams. :)

Splinterbungee get Win7 :) it is a really good OS!

Oh i thought that patch 1.1 came on day 1 before anyone had a chance to play it. i havent noticed what version i am on, but its whateven steam has autoupdated it to. The thing about the inventory system is you cant sort you items into an order (weight/value), I mean how hard can that be to implement.

Anyways - i like win7 as i use it at work, but never got round to getting it for my pc at home. Dont even know how much it would cost!! Wish i had it at the moment though, the freeze is annoying as hell, although at least it runs

it takes a while before you can get some useful recipe's though. I'm trying to figure out how you can get some decent healing potions since finding them in a store is near impossible for as far as I can see. If anyone knows where you can buy a LARGE amount of potions... Please tell me.

what's wrong with the way they do alchemy in skyrim?

Exactly what I was going to ask. I love it.

I just prefered it in Oblivion I guess. I liked the idea of trying to get hold of better equipment which has now gone. I prefered the alchemy interface in Oblivion aswell, plus i'm sure food (carrots, potatoes) worked as ingredients as well, wheras they dont now, they just make soups and give you a couple of hp, pretty much making them redundant.

Harvesting ingredients seems a bit more unresponsive as well, but cant put my finger on why its not the same.

Also reading recipes you bought should add it to your list of known potions, but it doesnt.

And i liked making potions in the middle of the wilderness, and you cant now.

Plus i havent come across nighteye, or chameleon or feather which i always carried with me in oblivion, but that might be just that i havent come across them rather than they are not there, i'm only level 12.

I would just like to point out i love the game, and all the above are just minor irritations, just thought it was better in oblivion.

I'm sure that most of that could be modded to suit your game :P

Ha maybe, i'm sure nobody has the time or inclination to do that sort of thing tho.

I'm new to games being modded and things so not really sure what is possible and what isnt. On oblivion i had loads of mods loaded up at one point which a mate put on, but i had no idea what they did!

In terms of me moaning about the alchemy, it is only that and the inventory screen that I think is inferior to Oblivion. It looks better and I think the main quest is gonna be better than Oblivion. Am suprised with the decisions they've made on the smaller things, like not being able to sort inventory by value and weight, just seems strange.
