I was annoyed enough by the arrow that was stuck in me for several hours that I watched myself get shot 3-4 times in third person view to see what would happen. The third new arrow caused the original stuck one to disappear. After a couple of minutes, the three new arrows disappeared and I was back to my old arrow-free self.
