How to fix: A mod disappeared from NMM

So after hours of trying to fix this problem I decided to ask here, then I got an idea on how to fix it, and it worked. so rather than this be question I will make this an answer. I have left my original question typed so you guys can understand my problem.

 

The other day NMM crashed during the uninstall/deleting of a mod. Now It does not appear in NMM but some of it's files are still in game. It had hundreds of files and deleting them one at a time would take forever, do you guys know a solution? (this mod being as it is, is causing most faces to be purple, and most race options to now work)

 

Solution:

Go to mod page and download through manager.

While it is downloading go to [(drive):\Games\Nexus Mod Manager\FalloutNV\Mods] and delete the old mod's archive.

Then navigate to [VirtualInstall](a folder in your current folder) and delete the mod from there.

Let the download finish then close out of NMM entirely.

Reopen it and you will get a few errors, click throutgh them on the route to uninstall (read what they say to figure out what they say)

Then install what you just downloaded.

Bravo! You just saved yourself HOURS of troubleshooting as to what is causing all of your faces to be F***ing purple and race menu to not work etc (if you are like me and having issues with Fallout Character Overhall)
