Skyrim MAJOR freeze?

I have read a fair few topics around the internet and this forum and I seem to be seeing people who are havin 'mini' freeze's on their games (10-15secs) but I just wanted to know if anybody is having any major freezing that force's you to quit the game like I have been having?

It first happened travelling on a road towards where you first meet the greybeards, Just over a little bridge you keep walking and BAM freeze's up the game for good. I have tried walking around it but it seem's like there is some sort of invisible line that if you step into it Locks up the game?

It also happens trying to get to solitude, walking around the back part just over this icy hill I hit an invisible line where my game lock's up. Also towards winterhold along the coast?

Does anybody else have this issue? I literally can't do anything around these area's because of it and I'm pretty sure it will happen in a lot of other place's that I haven't even been too yet!

Specs:

Amd x6 Phenom 2.8Ghz

GTX 460 1GB

8GB RAM DDR3 1033

The game run's perfectly great in all other area's on Ultra. But this issue just cannot be stopped even on lowest settings :(

Any thoughts?

Ste.

I'm thinking it might be related to your video card, since I have the same problem with the same card.

Specs:

Intel Core 2-Quad, 2.83ghz

GTX 460 1gb

2gb DDR3 1600

Here is what I found as a temp fix, if I did 'ctrl, alt, del'.. then click on task manager, it reduces the game to the task bar.

Then I close task manager and click on Skyrim on the taskbar and it pops up, but with just the border of the game showing, all I see is my desktop.

Then I pressed the Windows button on the keyboard, then click on Skyrim on the taskbar again and the game is back and I can continue playing. WTF!!! After awhile though I get the same issue most everyone else here is having, system just reboots outta the blue.
